Many groups charter their own bus to come to the races which is a great idea.however we recomend you pre purchase your entry ticket for every person on the bus (excluding bus driver) to ensure easy access to the site.

Located in the beautifull Macedon Ranges and approximately an hours drive from Melb, Bendigo and Ballarat, The Rock is situated between Woodend and Romsey and is easy to get to by car or train (Woodend Station). The address is South Rock Road Hesket, Victoria 3442, Melway Reference A 79. Remember dogs are not allowed in the racecourse on racedays.
By car from Melbourne, either take the Calder Freeway to Woodend, and then following the signs to Hanging Rock. Or take the Tullamarine Freeway to Romsey and turn left into Woodend Road. When you are close to Hanging Rock there are plenty of signs showing you how to get to the races’ parking area.

There are free shuttle buses running between Woodend Station to the Hanging Rock Races. The buses will meet the trains arriving at Woodend from Southern Cross Station & Bendigo and take you straight to the race course.

Free Buses will be departing Hanging Rock for Woodend Train Station at 340pm - 4.45pm - 5.40pm with the last bus leaving at 6.00pm sharp.
